(d) The right to dispute inaccuracies or errors in the personal information and have it corrected immediately, unless the request is vexatious or unreasonable. The personal information controller shall ensure the accessibility and simultaneous receipt of the corrected and retracted information by recipients.
(e) The right to suspend, withdraw, or order the blocking, removal, or destruction of your personal information upon discovering substantial proof that the information is incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained, used for unauthorized purposes, or no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. In such cases, the personal information controller may notify third parties who previously received the processed personal information.
If you feel your rights under the Data Privacy Act have been disregarded, you are entitled to file a complaint and seek indemnity for any damages sustained.
Collected Personal Information
Personal data (or personal information) refers to any information about an individual that can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).
